Ganesh Consumer Products Reports Significant CSR Expenditure for FY 2024-25

NEW DELHI (India CSR): Ganesh Consumer Products Limited (formerly known as Ganesh Grains Limited) reported its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities for the financial year ended March 31, 2025. The company significantly exceeded its mandatory CSR obligation for the year.

CSR Spending: Required vs. Actual

The total CSR obligation required for the Company for the Financial Year 2024-25, calculated as two percent of the average net profit of the company as per Section 135(5) of the Companies Act, was Rs. 73.14 Lakhs.

However, the CSR expenditure incurred by Ganesh Consumer Products Limited during FY 2024-25 totaled Rs. 143.14 Lakhs.

This resulted in a surplus payment of Rs. 70.00 Lakhs for the year (Rs. 143.14 Lakhs spent minus Rs. 73.14 Lakhs required). This excess amount is available for set-off against CSR obligations in succeeding financial years.

No amount was reported as spent on Administrative Overheads or Impact Assessment during the financial year.

Focus Areas of CSR Activities

Ganesh Consumer Products Limited’s CSR policy focuses on areas such as health, education, environment, animal welfare, and empowering people of underprivileged classes. The overall nature of CSR activities undertaken during the year included:

1. Promoting health care including preventative care.

2. Education.

3. Animal Welfare.

4. Development projects in the field of science and medicine.

Breakdown of CSR Expenditure

The total amount of Rs. 143.14 Lakhs was spent on various projects categorized as activities other than ongoing projects. The detailed breakdown of the amount spent on each project is as follows (in Rupees Lakhs):

The largest single contributions were made to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam for Health Care (Rs. 100.00 Lakhs) and to Dhyan Foundation for Animal Welfare (Rs. 21.00 Lakhs).

CSR Governance

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee was reconstituted during the period under review on December 17, 2024, by the Board of Directors. As of March 31, 2025, the committee consisted of:

• Madhu Mimani (Chairperson/Non-Executive Director)

• Ganesh Basavanagudi Shenoy (Member/Independent Director)

• Richa Manoj Goyal (Member/Independent Director)
