This movement helps the striker to hit the game piece, which reserves the game piece sliding into the pocket.

Board games have been a part of our households for centuries. Among all these games, carrom is one of the most popular ones. During family reunions or with friends we enjoy playing carrom. Therefore, we should know the carrom board rules to win these games like a pro. Thus, we have some fascinating tricks and tips for a sure shot win.

Top Carrom Trick Shots for A Pro:

Some of the trick shots that can help us play carrom like a pro are as follows:

Back Shot:

Sometimes there are game pieces the player wants to use near the baseline of their side of the board. But according to the carrom board rules, the player will not be able to hit the striker in the backward direction. Hence, using that game piece becomes impossible. So, when a situation like this happens, the place uses this trick to pocket that game piece. The player, in this trick, hits the striker. But with so much force in the opposite direction, it bounces back to the initial position.

This movement helps the striker to hit the game piece, which reserves the game piece sliding into the pocket.

Board Shot:

Indeed, these tricks will help you to play carrom like a pro. Some are easier to handle for already-pro players. This trick is one such trick. If an amateur player tries to use this trick, they might make a mistake and get a foul. In this trick, the striker hits three different sides of the board one after another and finally pockets the carrom men near the pocket.

Double Shot:

A double shot is one of the most common tricks used while playing carrom. When a carrom man is seen in the center of the board or anywhere near the center, you can apply this trick only then. With the help of the district, the player can pocket two different game pieces inside two varied pockets. In this trick, when the striker hits the game piece right in front of it, the mentioned game piece goes right inside one of the pockets, and then the striker hits the opposite side of the board and comes back to help the other game piece inside another pocket.

Middle Shot:

This shot is more complicated and needs precision to make it. Use this shot while the game has just started. This shot can only be played when all the carrom men are in the middle of the board. The player here aims to attack two carrom men at the same time by hitting the striker towards the space that is available in between the two carrom men. After the shot is made, these two carrom men are supposed to be in the pocket of two different sides of the board.

Second Hit:

With the help of this trick, the player can pocket two game pieces at once. Sometimes when one game piece gets in between another one and the pocket, the player can make the one standing in the way to put it inside the pocket.

You must align both the game pieces and near the pocket for this trick to work. It is also mandatory that the player opting for this trick has good aiming skills. Otherwise, the chances of getting a foul are very high.

Side Shot:

The side shot comes in handy to block the opponent and to put a carrom man in the pocket. This trick can be used by aiming the striker in such a way that it helps to stop the opponent from pocketing a carrom man and to pocket carrom men when needed. Players use this trick to avoid any risk and play a safe game.

Thumb Hot:

After playing carrom for a long, when the player’s fingers start hurting, they can use this trick. The carrom board rules don’t mention only one-finger usage, so players can use their thumb to play the game. Generally, while hitting the striker with the thumb, the applied force is stronger when compared to other fingers, so the chances of pocketing a game piece are high. To execute this move, you must form a circle with the help of the thumb and the index finger. It moves when the thumb is flicked right beside the striker.

Conclusion:

Nowadays we can play carrom online whenever we want to, from wherever we want to and with anyone. The most important thing to remember while playing is the carrom game rules. Once you have the rules by heart, you control your game. However, never should you think that these game rules are enough. You require strategies and should also have some tricks up your sleeves to ensure a sure shot win. So, when are you planning to play your next game? Later or pretty sooner?
