New Delhi: Chetak Foundation, in association with VisionSpring and CRPF, rolled out a road safety campaign by setting up an eye check-up camp and providing free spectacles to drivers and staff of CEPF to enhance safety on roads. Mr Vinay Kumar Tiwari, Commandant Officer – 1 Signal Bn CRPF, and Sachin JKS haritasH, Directors Chetak Group, inaugurated the camp at CRPF premises in Delhi.

The initiative is an effort by three partners to acknowledge and recognise drivers’ hard work and contribution towards nation-building. Eye check-up was carried out for more than two hundred drivers and staff who attended the camp and free spectacles were provided to those who required vision correction.

The Eye Check-up camp was yet another significant step for both Chetak Foundation and CRPF in enhancing driver and road safety. Earlier, Chetak Foundation and CRPF Camp had rolled out a tree plantation drive towards achieving their shared goal of ensuring clean air and a clean environment for the citizens.

On occasion, Commandant Officer – 1 Bn CRFP, Vinay Kumar Tiwari, said, “We are delighted to associate with Chetak Foundation again, this time for their road safety campaign, which is close to our hearts. Our Jawans were quite excited to attend the eye check-up camp and drivers from other Units also joined for the eye check-ups. We appreciate the initiative taken by Chetak Foundation and will be happy to take our association further. We wish them success for their laudable initiatives.”

Chetak Foundation is the CSR arm of Chetak group, a leading logistics player in India. The Foundation has been set up as a tribute to Chetak Group’s Founder Chairman, Late Mr Jai Karan Sharma and to work on improving the quality of life for underprivileged communities in the logistic space in Road Safety domains Environment, Health & Nutrition, and Education.

Sachin JKS haritasH, Trustee Director Chetak Foundation said, “Chetak Foundation has been set up to make a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged communities, especially the drivers in line with the vision of our founder, late Shri J K Sharma ji. We are honoured that a prestigious organisation like CRPF has again chosen to associate with us in our campaign to address the issue of road safety. We want to convey our gratitude to Commandant Officer Shri Vinay Tiwari and his team for their support, guidance and encouragement to ensure a better vision for drivers, thereby enhancing their productivity and safety on the road.” he added.

Chetak Foundation has conceived specific interventions to enhance beneficiaries’ experience. Some of these include Oxygen Plus (an environment initiative), Swasthaya Plus (a Health initiative), Poshan Plus (a nutrition initiative to alleviate hunger), Shiksha Plus (an Education initiative), Zindagi Plus (a Road Safety Initiative), Sahayata Plus (an initiative to help people during crises or natural calamities).

The Chetak Foundation was bestowed with the CSR India Award for Skill Development & ESG and CST Times Award for its Health Initiatives.
Chetak Foundation has tied up with India’s leading organisations, including Delhi Skill & Entrepreneur University, VisionSpring, CRPF, Sir Ganga Ram, Max & Fortis Hospitals, Delhi Metro, IOCL, Haryana Government and HMSI, for its health, nutrition, environment and road safety projects.
