The suspension order was issued following allegations that the officer misappropriated funds amounting to Rs 30 lakh.
This matter came to light after a local Congress leader formally raised concerns with the principal secretary of the education department. The leader’s letter detailed instances of financial mismanagement and irregularities, alleging that the BEO had diverted CSR funds meant for education-related initiatives.

According to the report published by Deccan Herald, the CSR funds in question were allocated for improving infrastructure and facilities in government schools in Devadurga.
