MUMBAI: Deepak Foundation was conferred with ICC Award For Social Responsibility by the Indian Chemical Council (ICC). The award was presented at a Function organized on September 29, 2017 in Mumbai.
This recognition bestowed to Deepak Foundation is based on the recommendations of the Awards Selection Committee, the Executive Committee of Indian Chemical Council.
This award recognizes Deepak Foundation, Deepak group’s charitable arm, efforts of undertaking various CSR initiatives in the country for over 40 years, with special focus on maternal and neonatal care, skills building and livelihood promotion designed to uplift underprivileged communities. Overall, more than 2 million people are regularly benefitted by activities conducted by Deepak Foundation.
Foundation has over the years delivered door step healthcare services to more than 150,000 citizens from poor and marginalised sections of society, empowered 11,500 women in rural and tribal areas through training programs, provided food security for 6,019 women farmers, and monitored nutritional intake of 15,000 children.
