ANGUL: For the third consecutive year, DAV Savitri Jindal High school, Angul has excelled in Class X Board examination conducted by the Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) with 100% pass result. This year out of 24 students, who appeared for the examination, 70.83% of students have secured more than 60% mark against the state average of 37.87%. Pujarani Mohapatra has secured the highest mark with 83.17%, whereas Kanehi Behera got second highest mark with 81.17%.
S. N. Hota, Head Master DAV Savitri Jindal High School credited all the teachers and students for this success. “Our teachers have put a lot of hard work to improve the quality of education among the children who are mostly first generation learners. We organised classes with personal attention for each students for their guidance,” said Mr. Hota. Class Teacher Mr. Suryakanta Baral took special effort to help the students in achieving this excellent performance.
Congratulating the students, DK Saraogi, Executive Director (I/C) & Location Head of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL)’s Angul unit said, “Excellent performance by the students is a testimony of our effort to impart quality education to children in the periphery area villages. I thank the teachers, students and parents for this success”.

DAV Savitri Jindal High School, Angul has been established by JSPL as a part of its effort to provide quality education to the children from the local community, including children from the families displaced by its mega steel project. This Odia Medium School is managed by DAV College Management Committee, which has expertise in imparting holistic, high-quality education across India. Besides studies, the school also encourages several co-curricular activities and its students have brought many District and State level accolades for the school.
