MUMBAI: Wockhardt Foundation, a leading non-profit organisation operating in India has been awarded “United Nations Consultative Status”, 2018.
Organisations that have a special competence in, and are concerned specifically with, only a few of the fields of activity covered by the Council and its subsidiary bodies, and that are known within the fields for which they have or seek consultative status shall be known as organizations in special consultative status.
Wockhardt Foundation got it after passing all parameters under UN Consultative Status rules & framework laid down by UN.
Says it’s CEO, Sir Dr. Huz, “this special status will give Wockhardt Foundation the opportunity to make greater contribution with international support and address issues linked to poverty at a greater scale”.
