Vedanta Sesa Goa has opened a state-of-the-art medical center in Karnataka, offering a range of modern healthcare facilities and hosting medical camps for the surrounding communities
GOA: “Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines, Pralhad Joshi, inaugurated a state-of-the-art medical center in Hubballi, Karnataka on Saturday. The initiative is a part of CSR program of Vedanta Sesa Goa.
The center, constructed by Vedanta Sesa Goa, is intended to provide quality healthcare to the surrounding communities and host periodic medical camps on issues such as eye care, diabetes, and women’s health.
During the inauguration of the medical center, Pralhad Joshi emphasized the importance of healthcare and education for India’s progress. He thanked Anil Agarwal and the team at Vedanta for their partnership in various initiatives, including Nand Ghar, which aim to make India self-reliant.
The center is equipped with modern facilities including consultation rooms, a pathology center, a seminar hall, and a Jan Aushadi medical shop.
The initiative is part of Vedanta Iron Ore Karnataka’s corporate social responsibility efforts, which include initiatives such as the SEVA Donation Drive and the Sesa Students’ Talent Hunt. The inauguration was attended by MLA Jagdish Shettar and Navin Jaju, CEO of Vedanta Sesa Goa.
While inaugurating the centre Pralhad Joshi said, “Healthcare and Upskilling are very critical for the progress of India. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have taken up many initiatives to realise the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. I convey my heartfelt gratitude to Anil Agarwal and the members of Vedanta company for partnering with us, in this journey of nation-building through Nand Ghar and other CSR initiatives like this.”
