All the other digital classrooms in 20 schools, 10 each in Basti and Jharkhand, were e-inaugurated at the event. The digital classrooms take a unique approach to teaching through remote volunteers who can connect online and teach children in these government schools.
The volunteers will use the eVidyaloka platform to connect over Skype and teach English, Maths and Science to these students thus bringing in expertise and quality education to the most remote villages in the area via technology.
The urban volunteers will be teaching the regular school courses for students of Grade 5 till Grade 8 and also help the students learn concepts and spoken English as part of this program.
Koshy George, Chief Marketing Officer, Marico Limited said, “With the help of technology and volunteers from urban centres, these digital classrooms can help government schools in remote villages achieve their learning outcomes in the best possible manner.”
