NEW DELHI (India CSR): In a strong demonstration of its commitment to road safety, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., a leader in tyre manufacturing, has partnered with the Delhi Traffic Police to organize a Road Safety Awareness Week. This impactful initiative was part of the National Road Safety Month, observed in January 2025 under the theme ‘Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’.

The program aimed to instill responsible driving habits and reduce road accidents by engaging directly with commuters and promoting critical safety practices.

Engaging Communities for Safer Roads

The initiative, which commenced on January 16, 2025, at the Delhi Police Traffic Training Park in BKS, featured a series of interactive and educational activities across key high-traffic areas, including ITO, Connaught Place, Punjabi Bagh, and Dhaula Kuan.

Over six days, JK Tyre and the Delhi Traffic Police conducted awareness sessions that emphasized:

  • Adherence to traffic rules.
  • The importance of wearing helmets and seat belts.
  • Avoiding mobile phone usage while driving.

These sessions brought road safety to the forefront, creating a meaningful impact on daily commuters and fostering a culture of responsibility among road users.

A Legacy of Road Safety Leadership

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Srinivasu Allaphan, Director – Sales & Marketing, JK Tyre, said:
“For over 30 years, JK Tyre has been deeply invested in promoting road safety through education and innovation. Initiatives like this reinforce our commitment to making Indian roads safer. Our cutting-edge technologies, including SMART Tyres and Puncture Guard Tyres, provide real-time safety alerts, empowering drivers to take preventive action and reducing accident risks. We are dedicated to sustaining these efforts for the greater good of society.”

Innovations in Road Safety

JK Tyre has consistently demonstrated its dedication to road safety through product innovation. Its SMART Tyres and Puncture Guard Tyres are designed to enhance driver safety by offering real-time alerts on potential issues, helping to prevent accidents before they occur. These innovations align seamlessly with the company’s mission to create safer roads for all.

Beyond Awareness: Strategic Collaborations

JK Tyre’s commitment to road safety extends beyond National Road Safety Month. The company actively engages in:

  • Driver and Trucker Training Programs: Empowering professional drivers with critical road safety skills.
  • School Initiatives: Educating young minds about safe practices on the road.
  • Annual Rally for Parliamentarians: Organizing the JK Tyre – Constitution Club Rally to engage policymakers, diplomats, and Members of Parliament in championing road safety.
