As a law-abiding and responsible organization, Hindustan Zinc stands in complete solidarity with the steps taken and efforts made by the state government and local governing bodies during these unprecedented times of flood at Uttarakhand through various relief measures.
With a rapid increase in the incessant rain, there was a loss of livelihood and even houses and food in the state, so the company helped the district administration and took the initiative of providing 1000 food packets to flood-affected families in Uttarakhand to help them sustain themselves.
Each of the dry ration packets distributed comprised 5kg rice, 5kg wheat atta, 1 kg dal, 1kg salt and oil packet. These were handed over to District Magistrate, Rudrapur – Ranjana Rajguru along with Regional Manager, State Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited – Kamal Kafaltiya at the hands of Pantnagar Metal Plant unit Director Himanshu Chabbra.
On this occasion, other senior management from Hindustan Zinc was also present.
This is one more commendable initiative by the company towards relief efforts for the people of Uttarakhand.
In addition to this emergency measure during the flood, Hindustan Zinc also provided various COVID relief support to the district administration during the first as well as the second wave of COVID.
