The van is equipped with dental technology, including a portable dental chair, X-ray equipment, sterilization units, and essential dental tools to ensure high-quality care.
NOIDA (India CSR): Haleon, the maker of Sensodyne and formerly GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, launched a new mobile oral health van in Noida today, expanding its fleet to five under its CSR initiative. This effort aims to serve 10,000 individuals through over 200 OPD sessions and reach 5,000 children via school health camps annually, addressing oral healthcare disparities in underserved communities.
With this addition, Haleon now operates a total of five fully equipped mobile oral health vans. It aims to bridge the oral healthcare gap in underserved communities.
In partnership with Doctors for You (DFY), the van was inaugurated by Dr. Narendra Kumar, Chief Medical Officer, alongside Haleon India’s Vikas Dhiman and Shanu Saksena. Equipped with advanced dental tools, it offers free preventive care and education on brushing and dental hygiene.
Shanu Saksena, CSR Head, Haleon India, stated, “This van has already impacted 450 people in Noida within a month, aligning with our mission of better everyday health.” The initiative supports SDG Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and Schedule VII of India’s Companies Act, promoting health and sanitation access.
With real-time tracking and patient data systems, Haleon ensures measurable outcomes, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable oral healthcare for all.
