AHMEDABAD: DCB Bank & Airport Authority of India – Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport, Ahmedabad are delighted to inaugurate a corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at the female traveler.
The initiative to install sanitary napkin vending machines at both international and domestic terminals seeks to provide for female travellers a convenient and hygienic facility.
The social initiative was unveiled by Manoj Gangal, Airport Director and Gangal, in the presence of prominent dignitaries comprising officials of the airport and DCB Bank in the VIP lounge at the international airport.
DCB Bank said, “The Bank is delighted to join hands with a premier airport under the corporate social responsibility programme. The sanitary napkin vending machines initiative enhances the facilities available for female travelers at the airport. It serves to enhance customer service. Secondly, through messaging and information dispersal, it will strengthen the best practices to be used for disposal of used sanitary napkins. It is important that the right means of disposal is adopted to prevent environmental stress on land and water.
