KOCHI: Cognizant is supporting the relief and rehabilitation efforts of the government of Kerala in the aftermath of the recent floods in the region.
The company that has a global development center in Kochi, Kerala, handed over general medicines to the district administration under the aegis of the National Health Mission, to safe guard against water-borne diseases.
Cognizant’s center head for Kochi, Joseph Korah, handed over the medicine supplies to S. Suhas, District Collector, Alappuzha District.
“Corporate support is vital in providing immediate relief to those affected by the flooding. Kerala is home to thousands of our employees and their families. While we have mobilized immediate medical relief, we will also work on long-term rehabilitation and restoration projects. We have been overwhelmed by the support of our associates who have come together to strengthen our relief efforts,” said Joseph.
