MUMBAI (India CSR): Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Portfolio, has significantly improved the Zilla Parishad (ZP) upper primary school in Bhoygaon, Korpana block of Chandrapur, Maharashtra.
Through its CSR efforts, the company transformed the 88-year-old institution into an award-winning school, earning first place in the ‘Mazi Shala, Sunder Shala’ competition by the Government of Maharashtra and a prize of ₹14 lakhs.
Ambuja Cements collaborated with the school management to fund a library, donate books, and provide guidance on competitive exams, vocational education, and hygiene.
They also organized sports promotions, cleanliness drives, and reading classes, which led to the school’s ISO rating and attracted further financial support from charitable organizations.
This comprehensive intervention has not only rejuvenated the school’s infrastructure but also boosted educational quality, underscoring Ambuja Cements’ commitment to fostering future generations.
