The Ramky Sagar MSW Project is equipped with futuristic technology to strengthen waste management in Madhya Pradesh
Ramky Enviro Engineers Limited (REEL), a leading player in the comprehensive environmental services industry in Asia, commences the Sagar MSW Project facilitating novel waste management methods using high-end technological solutions.
Sagar, a city close to Bhopal in the state of Madhya Pradesh has been selected as one of the hundred Indian cities to be developed as a smart city under PM Narendra Modi’s flagship Smart Cities Mission and listed the top safest city of India 2018. Ramky Enviro’s Sagar MSW Project Agreement (Public Private Partnership model) has been structured to align with the prudent sanitation of the city.
The project is an integrated waste management project with modern systems for door-to-door collection of waste, transfer station management and a processing and disposal facility. The Project caters to a cluster of 10 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and manages around 350 MT of Municipal Solid Waste every day.
The project was inaugurated on 16th August, 2020 by Bhupendra Singh, Urban Development, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh.
The new Integrated Waste Management plant is spread across 10.50 hectares located within Sagar town. A grab crane lifting technique has been introduced for the first time by Sagar to ensure better aesthetics and minimize unsightly garbage dumps. The project costing over Rs. 70 Crore includes the construction of a processing plant at Sagar & one transfer station at each of the ten participating Urban Local Bodies (ULBs). The 10 ULBs participating in this cluster project are Sagar, Grahakota, Rahatgarh, Banda, Rehli, Deori, Shahgarh, Shahpur, Makronia and Bina.
