Khyati Kumar also shines academically, currently in her 10th grade at the prestigious OP Jindal School in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.

RAIPUR (India CSR): At the upcoming India ESG Summit in Raipur, 14-year-old classical singer and child prodigy Khyati Kumar from Raigarh Gharana will enthrall the audience during the inaugural session on August 12, 2023, during 2-3 PM at Hotel Babylon International, VIP Road Raipur.

Showcasing Classical Mastery

In a display of her classical prowess, Khyati Kumar will present ‘Bandish’ in various ragas such as Rag Bahar, Rag Bhupali, Rag Ahilya Bilawal, Rag Puria, Rag Sudh Kalyan, and Rag Malkosh.

The musical session, set to be held at Hotel Babylon, will witness the esteemed presence of Monica Chanda, Founder Director of Gitanjali Dance Academy, Bishnupur, Shillong. Chanda, also a Member of the General Council at Sangeet Natak Akademi under the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India, will preside over the musical session of the prestigious summit.

Gurus

Khyati’s performance will be enhanced by the accompaniment of Guru Kishan Morya of Raipur on the Harmonium; Guru Chhabi Lal Malakar, Raigarh on Tabla; and Guru Damrudhar Malakar, Raigarh playing the Pakhavaj.

Rising Star in Indian Classical Music

Heralded as a significant talent in Indian Classical Music, 14-year-old Khyati Kumar is not only an accomplished singer but is rapidly making a name for herself in the music realm. The young maestro’s introduction to the enthralling world of music began when she was a mere 4 years old. Her divine voice, characterized by its unique melody, touches audiences deeply, reflecting the richness of Indian classical music.

Training and Legacy

The Raigarh Gharana Influence Under the aegis of stalwarts like Kalaguru Shri Vedmani Singh Thakur from the revered Raigarh Gharana, Gurumata Chandra Dewangan, and Guru Devlal Devangan, Khyati’s talent has been meticulously shaped. Besides her primary mentors, other musical luminaries like Guru Shri Chabilal Malak, Guru Shri Kishan Mourya, and Guru Shri Shubham have played pivotal roles in enhancing her musical depth and understanding.

A Balancing Act: Music and Academics

Khyati is also an exemplary student at the well-known OP Jindal School Raigarh in Chhattisgarh, currently pursuing her 10th grade. Under the mentorship of Shri RK Trivedi, the honorable principal of the institution, she seamlessly amalgamates her academic commitments with her profound love for music. The supportive ambiance at her school has significantly aided her holistic growth.
