New Delhi – Britania Industries Ltd spends Rs 24.73 crore in FY19 under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in accordance with the average net profit of the company for last three financial years Rs 1,236.50 crores.
The company focusses on improving health of women and children through its various programmes and activities.
During FY2018-19, the company has taken up various activities to promote health, growth and development of children and has also contributed towards restoration of hospitals for children and women as part of its CSR programmes.
The CSR committee confirms that the implementation and monitoring of CSR Policy is in compliance with CSR objectives and policy of the company.
The CSR committee comprises of Ness N Wadia, as Chairman, Keki Dadiseth, Ajai Puri, Y.S.P. Thorat, as Members of the Committee.
During the year, S.S Kelkar ceased to be the member of the committee and Y.S.P Thorat was appointed as member of the committee w.e.f. 7 February 2019.
The composition, powers, role and terms of reference of the committee are in accordance with the requirements mandated under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013
