Ashish Sahay is the Head of CSR & Strategic Initiatives for HP Inc. India and is responsible for managing and driving the Corporate Citizenship and Strategic Engagement initiatives for HP in the country. He has been at the helm of building HP’s image as a Thought Leader and Responsible Corporate Citizen in the IT industry.
At HP India, his mandate is for overall strategizing, implementing and monitoring of the stakeholders’ influencers program nationally across functions like, corporate citizenship, strategic initiatives, employee volunteering and stakeholder engagement. Besides his expertise in Sustainability and CSR Domain, Ashish is also well equipped in areas of E Waste Management, Media engagement, Corporate PR, Govt. relations & Internal communication etc.
Ashish has been instrumental in spearheading the CSR activations for HP India that can be clearly seen in its various community outreach programmes, which are designed to reach, engage and empower the communities in markets that HP operates in.
Ashish joined HP in February 2016. Prior to this, Ashish has served companies like Panasonic, Jubilant Life Sciences, Mawana Sugars and Ambuja Cements to help them strategize their CSR roll out plan, develop effective CSR policies and tools for impact assessment, perform social audits, compliances related to CSR and identifying relevant business cases for CSR.
Born and brought-up in Ranchi, Ashish completed his PG in Rural Management from XISS in 2005 and also holds an MDP certification in CSR from IIFT. He has also been conferred with various prestigious awards and certifications for his contribution in the CSR space including “100 Most Impactful CSR Leaders Globally” by ET Now and World CSR Day, “Sterling 25 CSR Leaders of India” by CSR Times, “National CSR Leadership Award” by World CSR Day and CMO Asia and “CSR Professional of the Year” award by India CSR.
Ashish has close to 15 years of dedicated experience in CSR & Sustainability offering complete solution to the ‘What and How’ of Strategizing, Planning, Executing and Monitoring CSR activities of companies aligned with the global principles and CSR guidelines. He is a Visionary thinker armed with deep understanding of critical business drivers coupled with broad-based expertise in building consensus and forging strategic alliances to influence high level policy decisions.
