Arun Arora, Director, Chetak Foundation adjudged the communicator of the year 2022

Public Relations Council of India confers Chanakya Communicator of the Year Award 2022 to him for Strategic Communication at Global Communication Conclave, Kolkata

New Delhi / Kolkata– Arun Arora, Head and Director, Chetak Foundation, was conferred with the Chanakya Communicator of the Year Award 2022 for Strategic Communication by the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI), during the prestigious Global Communication Conclave held in Kolkata on Nov 12, 12 2022.

Speaking on the occasion, M. B. Jayaram, Mentor, Chairman Emeritus PRCI said, “At PRCI we continually measure our product and services according to global standards, aspiring to achieve levels of quality at par with international names. We acknowledge outstanding performers in the communication domain. The selection committee has aptly shortlisted Arun Arora for the Chanakya Award 2022 – Communicator of the Year – Stragetic Communication. He brings not only his skill and talent to the profession, but a unique personality. We recognize his significant contribution in Public Relations and Corporate Communications, across industry and development platforms”

Besides Arun Arora, some of other prominent leaders who were awarded include Siba Prasad Mohanty, Chairman & MD, BVFCL, Alexander M George JMD, The Muthoot Group, Adika Ratna Sekhar, CMD, Balmer Lawrie, Dr Jayakar S.M., Vice Chancellor Bangalore University, Biswajit Matilal, Head Communications, Birla Corporation,  Rohit Khanna, Asst Editor, The Times of India, Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Chief Information Commissioner Bangladesh and Mr. Tony Michael Gomes, Advisor for Oxfam International, among others.   

Arun Arora, Head and Director of Chetak Foundation shared, “I am happy that PRCI has chosen to acknowledge and reward me as the Communicator of the Year 2022. I am humbled, especially to be among such eminent achievers. I thank the PRCI, Chairman and Selection Committee and the Jury to consider me for this felicitation. The recognition strengthens my belief in sticking to the basis of communication to further the cause of Chetak Foundation that is aligned to UN SDGs in the area of Health, Nutrition, Environment and Road Safety, especially focusing on the underprivileged section of society.” 

Chetak Foundation, a CSR arm of Chetak Logistics, the leader in Logistics in India, was set up as a tribute to Late Shri Jai Karan Sharma, Founder, Chetak Group to work on improving the quality of life of the downtrodden. 

The Foundation has tied up and works closely with Delhi Skill & Entrepreneur University, CRPF, DMRC and renowned hospitals like Sir Ganga Ram, Max and Fortis Hospitals for carrying out its social initiatives like the distribution of dry ration, sanitisation kits and safety helmets. The Foundation in association with VisionSpring also aspires to check the eyesight of a million truck drivers and provide them with free spectacles, over the next five years to enhance road safety  

Established in 1979, Chetak Group takes pride in its long-range strategy of providing comprehensive logistics solutions to its customers. Equipped with over 2 million sq. ft. of modern warehousing facilities, across India, the Group provides Total Supply Chain Solutions including Transportation Services through all modes; Warehousing & Distribution, International Freight Forwarding, Custom Clearance & Logistics Services.
