New Delhi: Around 65,000 suggestions and comments have been received and still being received from different stakeholders, Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.
The Committee for the Draft National Education Policy under the Chairmanship of Dr. K. Kasturirangan has submitted its report to the Ministry on 31st May 2019.
Draft NEP 2019 has been uploaded on MHRD’s website and also at innovate.mygov.in platform to elicit suggestions/comments from all stakeholders including the public, Government of India Ministries and State Governments.
Initially, last date for submission of suggestions/comments was upto June 30 2019 and has been extended upto July 30, 2019 to invite more suggestions from all stakeholders and to increase participation of different sections of the society in framing of policy.
India CSR is organising a dialogue on the Draft National Education Policy (NEP), 2019 on 26 July at the India International Centre, in New Delhi.
The ‘India CSR Dialogue’ will talk about expectations and opportunities for the corporate sector and the civil society in Draft NEP.
It will also talk about the role that the two stakeholders could play to take forward the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which envisages to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” by 2030.
