NEW DELHI: AROH Foundation, a leading national level NGO, in line with the initiative taken by the Government of India, joined the campaign Swachhta Hi Sewa 2018 under the leadership of its President, Dr. Neelam Gupta.
The foundation organised exhaustive events from September 25 to October 4 2018 under its Holistic Rural Development project in 18 villages of Bulandshahar, Budaun and Firozabad districts of Uttar Pradesh. These events comprised a host of activities such as cleanliness drive, tree plantations, distribution of Swachhta kits, rallying with the school children, etc.
AROH in association with the HDFC Bank, also set up a Smart Classroom at the Government School in Kudi village of Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. It was inaugurated on October 4th, 2018 by Neha Jain, Chief Development Officer of the district and Sonu Yadav, SLI, HDFC Bank. All the school children, teachers, school administration, parents, AROH functionaries, participated enthusiastically in event. The school administration was very happy to have the first Smart Classroom of the district set up in their school.
Recognising that education is the core for growth and development of the society, AROH Foundation has been taking up various initiatives that encourage knowledge and learning amongst the students. The use of smart classrooms eases the learning process for all students.
It has visually appealing and interactive modules and is central to improving and expanding students’ imagination and understanding of the principles. To make the campaign even more inclusive, screening of films on the theme Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan was also organized.
The Foundation has been a protagonist player in Holistic Rural Development and with the support of HDFC Bank, has been actively achieving new milestones of innovations and change through various need-based interventions and activities for rural villages.
Construction of toilets, drinking water facilities, renovation of school buildings, playgrounds, improving school aesthetics through paintings and tree plantations, providing stationary, school bags, awareness campaigns for improving health and hygiene, self-defence etc. have been the highlights of AROH’s need-based interventions. In the same series, the Smart Classroom is anticipated to boost young talents to shape their curiosity, creativity, adaptive learning as well increase interaction and participation from both the teachers as well as students.
Addressing to the children and staff of school at the event, Ms. Neha Jain said, “Development of education is one of primary motives of our times. AROH’s mission and vision with support of HDFC Bank is a positive commencement to the various on-going needs of the society.”
