The film has secured two prestigious honours at the Global India International Awards—Best Screenplay for Altaf Dadasaheb Shaikh and Best Actor for Aniket Vishwasrao. This recognition marks a powerful milestone for Marathi and Indian cinema, celebrating the growing global appreciation for authentic regional narratives.
The film pays a heartfelt tribute to late Ganpatrao Deshmukh, a respected leader known for his integrity and lifelong dedication to public service. Its honest storytelling, emotional depth, and powerful performances have resonated with audiences across continents, adding momentum to its worldwide acclaim.
At the festival, organisers highlighted how KarmayogiAbasaheb represents India’s evolving cinematic voice—bold, rooted, and deeply human. Its international success expanded further when the film won the Eastern Europe Award at the Eastern Europe Film Festival in Romania. Altaf Dadasaheb Shaikh was also honoured with the Best Director Award, reinforcing his stature as a visionary filmmaker capable of delivering stories that transcend language and geography.
The Global India International Awards ceremony brought together dignitaries from India and across the world, including Yoga Master Yogi Dheeraj, spiritual guide Swami Surendra Saraswati, Focal brand director Abbas Ali, rural activist Vajintabaai Ajabe, social worker Bhausahab Ajabe, Ukrainian sound technologist Cristina Horna, and Myanmar’s business expert Yin Nei Khante. Their presence added a multicultural dimension to the celebration of cinematic excellence.
