DHAMRA: Adani foundation has undertaken an animal development programme in collaboration with BAIF o develop the health condition of livestock so as to increase the livelihood of the farmers who are depending upon the cattle in its periphery Gram Panchayats of Dhamra Port.
The objective of the programme was to provide awareness, capacity building to farmers by focusing on breed development through artificial insemination, fodder development, animal curative measures etc.
A farmers’ training was organized at Bazarapur village under Karanjmal GP with participation from more than 75 farmers from Karanjmal GP.
The Participants were taught about artificial Insemination, higher milking breed, cattle farming management, cattle house management, fodder Development, symptoms of unhealthy animals, identification of common disease in animals, impact of deworming and vaccination etc.
A practical demonstration on hygiene practices on animal care was also given to the farmers.
