Indian Premier League is a men’s T20 Cricket League held annually between March and May. The IPL was founded in 2007 by the BCCI (The Board of Control for Cricket in India). The state focuses on ten states or cities based on the franchise teams. It has the most attractive cricket leagues in the world, attracting players from all over the globe, and this is how the IPL franchise earns money.

When and how was the Indian Premier League Formed?
The Indian Premier League was formed in 2007 by the BCCI. The idea for the league was formed by Lalit Modi, who was the vice president at that time. He had a significant role in the establishment of the IPL. Inspired by the success of the other leagues, Lalit Modi strategized the Idea of establishing the IPL.
With the motive of evoking both sports and entertainment simultaneously, Lalit Modi decided to launch the IPL. Thus, he presented his proposal to the BCCI, after which the BCCI agreed to its execution.
It was officially announced in New Delhi on September 13, 2007. It was based on a franchise model representing different cities and targeted private entities or other businesses and corporations. Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Mohali, and Bangalore are participating franchising cities. The league also conducted several award shows, like IPL winners of the season, IPL orange cap winners, IPL purple cap winners, etc.

2008
The Rajasthan Royals overtook the IPL winner for the 2008 season. The team defeated the Chennai Super Kings with a fantastic score of 164/7 in 20 overs. The Chennai Super Kings were bowled out for 163 runs in 20 overs. Overall, the team won the match with three wickets.
2009
In 2009, the IPL trophy was handed over to the Deccan Charges, which scored 143/6 in 20 runs. They defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who scored 137/9 in 20 overs. However, the Deccan Charges won the match by six runs. The RCB lost ten wickets in their innings.
2010
In 2010, the Chennai Super Kings took the trophy against the Mumbai Indians for the first time. CSK scored 168/5 in 20 overs, whereas the opposition scored 146/9 in 20 overs.
2011
The years 2009 and 2010 were considered a remarkable journey for victory in the history of CSK. It was the second time CSK won the IPL trophy again for the next consecutive year. They scored 205/5 in 20 years against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who scored 147/8.
2012
In 2012, the Kolkata Knight Riders won the trophy with 192/5 in 20 overs against the Chennai Super Kings, who scored 190/3 in 20 overs. The Kolkata Knight Riders won the match by five wickets, clinching their championship in the league.
2013
In the 2013 IPL season, the Mumbai Indians won the IPL league and scored 148/9 in 20 overs against the Chennai Super Kings, who scored 125/18 overs. The Mumbai Indians won the match by 23 runs.
2014
Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL trophy in 2014 and scored 200/7 in 20 overs against the Kings XI Punjab scored 199/4 in 20 overs. The Kolkata Knight Riders won the match by three wickets.
2015
In 2015, the Mumbai Indians won the IPL title for the second in the IPL history. In this match, the Mumbai Indians scored 202/5 in 20 overs against their opponent, Chennai Super Kings, who scored only 161/8 in 20 overs. They won the game for the second time with 41 runs.
2016
The IPL trophy for the year 2018 was taken over by the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who scored 208/7 in 20 overs, against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who scored 200/7 in 20 overs. The Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match by eight runs.
2017
Mumbai Indians ruled the Indian Premier for their third-time victory in 2017, scoring 129/8 in 20 overs against the Rising Pune Supergiants, leading with 128/6 runs in 20 overs. However, the Mumbai Indians won the match by one run.
2018
In 2018, the trophy again reached the hands of the Chennai Super Kings, who won the IPL for the third time against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who scored 178/6 in 20 overs. The Chennai Super Kings team won the match by eight wickets in the final.
2019
In 2019, Mumbai Indians again ruled the IPL history for the fourth time with a leading score of 149/8 in 20 overs against their opponent Chennai Super Kings 148/7 in 20 overs. The team luckily excelled in the game with one run.
2020
In the year 2020, the Mumbai Indians again dominated the IPL field for the fifth time ever in this history. The Mumbai Indians scored 157/5 in 20 overs against the Delhi Capitals, who scored 156/7 in 20 overs.
2021
In 2021, the Chennai Super Kings won the IPL title for the fourth time. The Chennai Super Kings scored 192/3 in 20 overs against the Kolkata Knight Riders, who scored 165/9 in 20 years. The Kolkata Knight Riders lost the match with 27 runs.
2022
Gujarat Titans entered the IPL league for the first time against the Rajasthan Royals, who scored 130/9 in 20 years. The Gujarat Titans scored 133/3 in 18.1 overs.
2023
In 2023, the Chennai Super Kings again won the trophy against the Gujarat Titans, who scored 214/4 in 20 overs. However, the Chennai Super Kings scored 171/5 in 15 overs, an adjusted target after the rain using the DLS method. However, the Chennai Super Kings won the match with five wickets.
2024
The Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL trophy in 2024 for the third time against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who scored 146/8 in 20 overs, whereas the Kolkata Knight Riders won 147/8 in 18.3 overs. However the team won the match by eight wickets.
