HYDERABAD: Workshop on CSR for Agricultural Development to be held on 4–5 July, 2017 at National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. BIMTECH, Greater Noida, a premier management institute is key organizer of the forum. Smt. V. Usha Rani, IAS, Director General, MANAGE will inaugurate the forum. MANAGE has vision to be counted among the most pioneering, innovative, user friendly and self-supporting agricultural management institutes in the world.
N.N.Sharma, Associate Professor & Chairperson, India Centre for Public Policy (ICPP), Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) will give over view of regulatory framework of CSR and emerging trends, provisions of Section 135 of Companies Act 2013 and rules, trend analysis of performance during last two years and status of fund flow to agriculture sector and bottlenecks.
Pratyush Panda and Vijay Khati from ACC Ltd will talk on Sustainable Agriculture Development. Suman from Dr Reddy’s Foundation will discuss on MITRA: an impactful, scalable and sustainable agri-extension delivery platform to empower farmers and facilitate an improved food cover. Dr Jai Pawar from Deepak Foundation will give detailed presentation on Kawant Livelihood Project (KALP): A multi-sectoral Public Private Partnership initiative for development of the most backward of tribal blocks of Gujarat State in India. This session will be chaired by S. Swaminathan.
Chaired by Anoop Gupta, next session will be focused on case studies on promotion of CSR by leading corporate. Talk of Parveen Prakash – Hindustan Unilever and Ramesh Bethi – Foundation and Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) will be focused on Agri Water Efficiency; Participatory Crop Water Budgeting and Experimental Games and Amit Singh, Agribusiness Systems International (ASI) will share his international experience and B. Shivarudrappa from BAIF Development Research Foundation will discuss on impact of Farm Pond in Agriculture.
