MUMBAI: Godrej Group companies recently bagged four prestigious Health and Safety Awards.
Godrej Agrovet Limited, oil palm factory at Ch.Pothepalli in West Godavari district received National Safety Awards (NSA) for the performance year 2016, awarded by Directorate General, Factory Advice Service & Labour Institutes, (DGFASLI) Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India.
The Unit has received a winner-up award under scheme 6 (accident-free year) and runner-up award under scheme 5 (lowest average frequency rate). The award was received by Mr Nasim Ali, CEO-Oil Palm business, from Shri. Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State for Labour and Employment
Godrej Properties Ltd was presented two RoSPA Silver Award for Health and Safety practices by the internationally-renowned Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. It is the leading Health and Safety awards scheme in the UK.
The awards were presented for Godrej Garden City Project in Ahmedabad and Godrej Infinity Pune during a ceremony at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central, United Kingdom. The RoSPA Awards scheme receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Recognising excellence in Health and Safety Management System” Indian Chemical Council conferred ICC Award 2017 to Astec LifeSciences Ltd.
