MUMBAI: Wockhardt Foundation, a national not-for-profit organization and Wasan Knowledge Hub, center for knowledge and skill development have signed a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) at the Wockhardt Towers, Bandra-Kurla complex to combine functional training and skill development and bring a positive change to the society.
The main purpose of these two giants coming together is to facilitate students and teams who desire to give themselves a competitive edge in their social, personal as well as professional lives with international standards of protocol. With Wockhardt’s expertise in skilling and Wasan’s in training, this joint venture is going to impact lives of several.
The signing of the MOU happened between Sir Dr. Huz (Huzaifa Khorakiwala), CEO & Trustee, Wockhardt Foundation and the leaders of the Wasan Knowledge Hub – Mr. Tarun Wasan, Managing Director, Mrs Ekta Wasan, Director and Dr Lillian John, COO.

Wockhardt Foundation 19 programmes have made perceptible change in its areas of operations to the lives of the underprivileged. Mobile 1000, its flagship programme, aims at operating 1000 Mobile Health Vans in rural India and administering free primary healthcare to 2.5 million Indians every year. As of date, there are over 108 Mobile 1000 Vans operating in 17 states and doing yeoman service to rural India.
Its other programmes like Little Hearts, Pronto Toilet, Pronto Bio-Toilet, E-Learning, Khel Khel Mein, Wockhardt Skills Development Institute, SHUDHU water purification tablets and Adarsh Gram Yojana have made significant impact and it continues to expand its social coverage in areas where the need is the most.
