BAHJOI: In continuation to the endeavors made by Freshmen’s Valley, the brand recently organised its first ever free dental checkup and awareness camp at its plant in Bahjoi, Sambhal district. The brand along with a team of doctors carried out a comprehensive dental checkup for the villagers of the region.
The camp began with a dental awareness talk, educating villagers about common dental ailments, like tooth decay and gum diseases and preventive measures in order to maintain oral hygiene. Important subjects like eating patterns and food choices, which cause tooth decay were the highlights of the discussion. The doctors also highlighted the possible reasons of formation of harmful acids caused by bacteria/ plaque which result in tooth decay. The villagers were taught about ways to quit smoking and the key steps to maintain oral hygiene.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Tanya Joshi – Team Leader, CSR Initiatives at Freshmen’s Valley said, “The camp had been organised keeping in mind our objective to provide oral health education and create awareness on best practices for dental hygiene. We are aiding the villagers in gaining easy access to quality dental treatment. We strongly believe in giving back to the society and have always established this thought by organizing various and similar camps in the region.”
The villagers got an opportunity to interact with the doctors to enquire and gain knowledge about oral diseases. On completion of the general dental screening, treatment with free medicines and other aids like mouthwash, toothpaste were provided to the patients. The camp was conducted in association with Department of Public Dentistry, Kothiwal Dental College and Research Center, Moradabad.
