MUMBAI: IIFL Group, one of India’s largest diversified financial services group as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts has partnered with ISKON Food Relief Foundation for Annamrita, a mid-day meal program for underprivileged children.
IIFL had donated a vehicle to ISKON for transportation of the meal across Mumbai and nearby locations. Within 3 months, the IIFL initiative has helped to serve 1 lakh children.

At IIFL we have always believed in contributing towards social causes that will have a long-standing positive impact on the society. Through this mid-day meal program, we are also indirectly also supporting higher school enrollments and to the greater cause of education, which gives us immense satisfaction” said Sarika Kulkarni, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at IIFL Group.
IIFL, pleased with the scale and quality of Operations are taking the engagement a step further. Recently, a khichdi drive was organized at its Lower Parel headquarters, where over 800 employees enjoyed the delicious khichdi served by Annamrita. Khichdi Drive is a unique concept wherein employees get to taste Khichdi served by ISKCON Food Relief Foundation and contribute towards sponsoring children’s meals. IIFL is very keen to motivate and encourage employees to be more actively involved and to help scale up the Annamrita project.
IIFL Foundation partnered with ISKON in January 2015. MrNirmal Jain, Founder of IIFL Group along with his wife Madhu Jain and Dr. Sarika Kulkarni, Head of CSR inaugurated a vehicle in January 2015- sponsored by their Foundation which will transport many more hot and nutritious meals to underprivileged children in municipality and slum schools around Mumbai.
