LANJIGARH: Sesa Sterlite under its CSR department has organized a Free Medical camp in association with National Rural Health Mission-Rayagada at Old Ambadola in Muniguda Block. A day long Free Mega Health Camp has been aimed at treating and providing medical attention to inhabitants of remote peripheral villages . This Program has been arranged by Nirmala Kruti Bikash Trust;an agency who has been doing the operation and Maintenance of Vedanta Hospital in Lanjigarh .
On this eve Dr Mukesh Kumar, COO & President Says” Sesa Sterlite has been trying to Provide better health care service to the Villagers in the Society .This is a initiative to reach the community at their Villages.
Speaking during the opening Mr.Enka Kadraka , Sarpanch Old Ambadola said, “I am thankful to Sesa Sterlite Limited (Formely Vedanta) for organizing the health camp. The villagers are looking forward for the support in this direction”. More and more such initiatives will help to address the health needs of villagers and can save the Cost of Medical Check up he added.
The camp was coordinated by Dr Akhay Sahoo, Bindosagar Patnaik, Alka Minj & Srimukh Agasty together with the Village Volunteers and Vedanta Officials who were present among others. Many Octogenarians, Women with children, handicapped villagers with help of their relatives and others came to seek the medical assistance andcheck-up.
Mr. Ranjan Sharma, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Sesa Sterlite Limited, thanked the village volunteers and Doctors for their support and participation and promised to initiate more such initiatives benefiting the community. Others Presented are Sidhartha Behera ( PR),Pallavi Bose and Medical staffs of Ambadola PHC , Vedanta Hospital and NRHM . Villagers like Panchanan Karkaria,Anand Takri,Anant,Suraj Suna ,Malaya Suna etc have Participated actively towards creating awareness among the Villagers .Around 700 Patients has been provided treatment facility as well as free medicine as recorded.
