Rourkela: In a new initiative as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has launched “Project Charaka” to provide free surgical treatment to patients with various ailments.
“Project Charaka is another step forward in the long list of CSR Projects of RSP,” said RSP’s CEO G S Prasad at the inauguration of the Project at Ispat General Hospital (IGH) here yesterday.
RSP, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, is changing the lives of many poor, underprivileged and needy people through a number of initiatives, he said.
Project Charaka, an initiative of Surgical department of IGH with the help of CSR Department, aims at providing free surgical treatment to patients detected with various problems in different Health Camps organised by RSP in peripheral villages and at Ispat Sanjeevani Kalyan Chikitsalaya.
“IGH has a long reach and has remained as the lifeline of people living in the region since its existence. It reaching out to the poor, underprivileged and needy people through these kinds of projects will go down as another milestone in its history,” Prasad added.
