SARIGAM (India CSR): Coromandel International Limited, one of India’s leading agri-solutions providers, has reinforced its commitment to community development through two new initiatives focused on strengthening education and early learning in Gujarat’s Sarigam region.
As part of its CSR initiatives, the company inaugurated a Science Laboratory at Sri Swami Vivekanand High School, Manekpur, and a new Anganwadi Centre at Dhodipada. These facilities aim to nurture curiosity, promote holistic development and provide a safe and engaging learning environment for students and young children.
The newly inaugurated Science Laboratory is equipped to provide practical learning experiences in physics, chemistry, and biology, benefiting more than 1,000 students from the school and nearby villages. The Anganwadi Centre at Dhodipada is designed to support early childhood care and education, offering play-based learning and nutrition services to foster the all-round development of young children.
Speaking about the initiative, a Jayagopal Chathur, Head – Corporate Social Responsibility, Coromandel International Limited, said, “We believe that access to quality education and early learning plays a crucial role in transforming communities. By supporting institutions that nurture curiosity and development at every stage, we aim to contribute to a more empowered and self-reliant society.”
The inauguration ceremonies were attended by Coromandel leadership team including Pankaj Talegaonkar, Senior General Manager & Unit Head, Sarigam and members of the Coromandel CSR Volunteer Team. Community leaders and dignitaries in attendance included Mr. Ramanbhai Patkar, Former MLA, Sarpanchs of Manekpur and Dhodipada, trustees and staff of the school, Anganwadi workers and local residents.
