NOIDA (India CSR): Alakh Pandey, Founder and CEO of PhysicsWallah (PW), popularly known as Alakh sir, visited Aangan Elderly Home to extend a contribution of Rs 21 lakh towards the care and well-being of senior citizens. This initiative is aimed at strengthening the facility’s capacity to provide medical support and a dignified living environment for its residents.

The contribution follows a significant milestone for Alakh sir, who was recently awarded with the prestigious ‘UP Gaurav Samman’ by the Government of Uttar Pradesh during the UP Diwas celebrations. The honor, presented by Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, included a prize money of Rs 11 lakh. In a gesture of community involvement, Alakh sir shared the news and showed the award to his Class 10th students. Upon asking how the prize money should be utilized, the students suggested eight different social welfare domains. Aangan Elderly Home marks the first area of focus in this new journey of giving back. Notably, Alakh sir scaled this commitment to ₹21 lakh, doubling the initial prize amount to further support the facility’s needs.

Alakh Pandey, Founder and CEO of PhysicsWallah, said, “Every individual deserves to live with dignity and receive the care they need in their later years. By supporting Aangan, we are working towards ensuring that our senior citizens have access to a safe and supportive environment. The aim is to give back to the community that has always been the backbone of our society. This is a small step in our ongoing effort to support and contribute to social welfare.”

This initiative aligns with Alakh sir’s long-term vision of nation-building, which extends beyond education to include grassroots social welfare. PhysicsWallah has previously institutionalised support for paramilitary forces through formal Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the CRPF Family Welfare Association (CWA), the Border Security Force (BSF), and Sandiksha (SSB Wives Welfare Association). These partnerships provide free quality education to the children of martyrs and significant scholarships for the wards of serving and retired personnel. From renovating government schools to providing educational support for the children of martyrs, he is working towards creating a sustainable impact on the lives of the vulnerable, ensuring they receive the respect and care necessary for their physical and emotional well-being.
