NEW DELHI (India CSR): The Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), the apex body of the Indian electrical, industrial electronics and allied equipment sector, has announced its new leadership team for the year 2025-26.
Vikram Gandotra, Director (Industry & Policy) at Siemens Ltd., has taken charge as the new President of IEEMA. He succeeds Sunil Singhvi, Group Head of Public Policy at Secure Meters, who served in the role for the 2024-25 tenure. Alongside Gandotra, Sidharth Bhutoria, Vice President and Wholetime Director at RTS Power Corporation Ltd., has been appointed as the President-Elect, while Shashi Amin, CEO – Cable Solutions at Apar Industries Ltd., assumes the role of Vice President.
Vision of the New President
Expressing gratitude and outlining his vision, Vikram Gandotra said, “I’m honoured to be leading IEEMA at this time of great change and opportunity for our industry. My focus will be on working together to boost our global competitiveness, promote innovation, and achieve sustainable growth. We will continue to strengthen our focus on policy advocacy and effective government engagements.”
He added that IEEMA will intensify efforts to expand into new markets, set up a trade facilitation centre, and drive initiatives in quality, safety, reliability, startups, and skilling programs. Gandotra emphasized that collective efforts by industry leaders would open new opportunities for India’s electrical and electronics manufacturing sector to scale greater heights.

President-Elect Emphasises Regional and Membership Growth
Sidharth Bhutoria, the newly appointed President-Elect, highlighted his focus on strengthening regional connects and enhancing member engagement.
“I am greatly humbled to assume the role of President-Elect of IEEMA. My focus will be to nurture both the technical capabilities and the regional connects within IEEMA, which are its essence. I will also work towards strengthening inbound and outbound delegations to create more business opportunities.”
He underscored that IEEMA’s membership—spanning large, medium, small, and micro enterprises—remains the organisation’s greatest asset, and efforts will be made to make their engagement more meaningful.
Vice President to Boost B2B and ELECRAMA
Taking over as Vice President, Shashi Amin said his priority will be enhancing business connections and expanding IEEMA’s flagship exhibition ELECRAMA, into an even bigger international platform.
“It is an honour to assume this role, and my primary objective will be to strengthen IEEMA’s B2B connects and position ELECRAMA as a more significant global platform for our industry.”
Founded in 1948, IEEMA is India’s first ISO-certified industry association and represents the complete value chain of power generation, transmission, and distribution equipment, including the new and renewable energy sectors.
Over the decades, IEEMA has emerged as a vital link between policymakers and industry stakeholders, actively contributing to India’s journey toward sustainable industrial growth, energy transition, and global competitiveness.
