Advance booking collection

According to a report on sacnilk.com, the film has collected Rs. 93.66 lakh from its advance booking for day 1. The film has already sold 43,250 tickets for its opening day across India. Particularly, regions such as Delhi NCR and Mumbai have seen better ticket sales. The film is expected to open in between 5-8 crores on its first day at the box office.

Censorship cuts

The film recently went through a censorship check and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) decided to cut a scene where the characters are intimate, making it 25% shorter. They removed 9 seconds, reducing the original 36-second sequence to 27 seconds. Besides, the CBFC changed the word ‘Daru’ to ‘Drink’ in the second half of the film. After these changes, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya got a U/A certificate from the CBFC on February 2.

Shahid Kapoor’s comeback to romance

Shahid Kapoor, who was last seen in the action thriller Kabir Singh, is making a comeback to the romantic genre after a long time. He recently revealed exclusively to News18 what kept him away from romantic entertainers. He shared that cracking the perfect script for a romantic love story is difficult for him, as he’s keen on offering something new to the audience with his filmi outings.

“I was kind of missing doing something light and fun, definitely, but honestly, it’s the most difficult genre to crack. Because, I mean, I listen to 10 scripts a month, and people don’t know that there’s so much you hear from others – people tell me ‘aur picture karo’. But it’s so difficult to find scripts that could offer the audience something new, and love story is the most difficult genre, I feel, to do. And then, I just found this film was answering that question of mine, like what is it that you can do new in a love story,” he said.

Kriti Sanon’s first film with Shahid Kapoor

Kriti Sanon, who has been on a roll with back-to-back hits like Mimi and Bachchan Pandey, is pairing up with Shahid Kapoor for the first time in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The actress, who plays an AI engineer in the film, said that she had a great time working with Shahid and the directors. She also praised the film’s music, which has been composed by A.R. Rahman.

“The film is a beautiful love story that explores the impact of technology on human relationships. I play an AI engineer who creates a humanoid robot that looks exactly like Shahid’s character. It was a challenging and exciting role for me. Shahid is a fantastic co-star and we had a lot of fun on the sets. Amit and Aradhana are very talented and visionary directors who have brought a fresh perspective to the genre. And of course, the music by A.R. Rahman is a treat for the ears. I hope the audience will enjoy the film as much as we did making it,” she said.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is produced by Maddock Films and T-Series. The film also stars Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte, and Pankaj Tripathi in supporting roles. The film will clash with Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 at the box office.
