Travel technology company, Fareportal India is expanding their humanitarian scope of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through active partnership and participation with Nayi Disha and CanKids. Fareportal’s CSR goals fulfill both the financial and infrastructural requirements of these two organizations enabling numerous children from marginalized communities and those impaired by cancer to continue to receive education as a pillar of growth, awareness, and general exposure to opportunities in the future.
Nayi Disha started out in 2014 with the purpose to prepare and groom marginalized children for admission to regular schools. From just having a primary school, they have now introduced class 5 through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) to help older children continue their studies and not become school dropouts. They are in the process of training their teachers accordingly and have formed an alliance with an Accredited Institution of NIOS for enrolling their students in this curriculum. Nayi Disha is located is in the Harijan Colony in DLF Phase V, Gurgaon. In December 2018, they started a second school in Indira Colony 2, Ardee City, Gurugram.
Fareportal has partnered with Nayi Disha since 2020 funding the infrastructure and teaching organization to help them grow. Fareportal employees have engaged closely with the students at Nayi Disha in programs that are run at the school. Fareportal has also hosted students of Nayi Disha as a way to encourage and motivate them giving them the opportunity to glimpse into the corporate world.
CanKids is another noble initiative that Fareportal is in partnership with that advocates for the Right to Education of the health impaired child with cancer. Between the Canshala, School Rooms in Care centers and hospitals, and the Learning Activity clinics on the Chattai at OPDs, they aim to ensure that they keep the children learning and engaged throughout their treatment to be able to enroll and reintegrate them back into school after treatment.
