Makes sustained efforts to enhance the medical infrastructure of the district
In its commitment to extend support to underprivileged, Essel Mining and Industries Limited (EMIL) has been augmenting healthcare-infrastructure of Chhatarpur district in Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh.
EMIL on a sustained basis has been supporting district hospitals and health centres of the region with critical medical equipment. The company provided a state-of-the-art C-arm imaging device, hi-flow nasal cannula with a quick blood testing tool to the district health hospital in Chhatarpur recently.
Also, EMIL provided an advanced ambulance to Buxwaha community health centre to ensure fast and safe transportation of patients in the remote areas of Buxwaha.
The advanced medical equipment will help ensure quick diagnosis and treatment for the residents of Chhatarpur. The company has also donated a mortuary freezer to the district health hospital.
On this occasion, the district collector, Mr. G R Sandeep and Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dr. Vijay Pathoria, lauded the humanitarian efforts of Essel Mining and appreciated the company’s commitment towards the welfare of the local community.
Bada Malhara MLA Shri Pradyumn Singh Lodhi, who was present during the ambulance donation said “Essel Mining has been actively contributing to the development of the region focussing on healthcare facilities. I am looking forward to the company for its continued efforts. This gesture by the company is a big boon for the local residents.”
This advanced ambulance is equipped with facilities like air conditioning, advanced life support system, oxygen delivery system, defibrillator, and dedicated working space for medical staff. It will help critical patients a safe and strong medically assisted environments to bigger hospitals located 60-70 kilometres away in Chhatarpur, Sagar, and Damoh.
EMIL has been actively contributing to strengthening the basic health infrastructure in the area amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, EMIL donated a high-end digital X-ray machine, haemato analyser, refrigerator, and many other types of equipment to the Buxwaha CHC.
EMIL has been awarded LOI for the Bunder Diamond Block, which is a Greenfield mining project located in Buxwaha tehsil of Chhatarpur district in Madhya Pradesh. This project is expected to generate direct and indirect employment for over 1,500 local people, and improve the infrastructure of roads, health, and education, thus accelerating the pace of socio-economic development in the region.
