Facebook is the most popular and most used social networking platform throughout the world. With over 1.8 billion daily users, it is a great platform for business marketing as well. Facebook has numerous features that can help one out.

In order to gain popularity on Facebook, one must use these features to its fullest potential. Depending on your needs and priorities in terms of business marketing, you can create your own Facebook marketing strategies.

There are certain tools these days that can also help you increase reach on Facebook. Some such tools are DrumUp and Pagemodo. These tools can help you analyse audience engagement with your Page and posts, which in turn helps you improve your marketing strategy.

Having said that, here are 5 ways in which you can use Facebook for business marking.

1. Create a Page

The first step to creating a presence for your business on Facebook is by creating a Page. Here, you can post pictures and videos related to the products and services that you provide. Furthermore, having an online presence will by itself boost your brand, since it provides your audience with a sense of trust and legitimacy towards your business.

Having a Page makes it easier for people to find you and check out your products right from their phones.

It also helps you to connect with other businesses and get inspired by the type of content they create to attract more followers on Facebook.

By being on Facebook, you can keep an eye on your competitors in the market as you both will have the same target audience. If a particular competitor does better on social media and gets a higher audience engagement, you can take cues from their posts to be able to increase the engagement on your Page as well.

2. Ad Campaigns

Ad campaigns on social media are much more affordable than hiring billboards or shooting an advertisement to be shown on television. You can simply create an ad within a few minutes from your desk.

Facebook lets you choose a target audience based on their demographics, a campaign objective, budget, and schedule for how many days you want your ad to run. This helps you to promote your brand without spending a fortune and saves your time as well!

By choosing a target audience, you get to focus your ad on people who are more likely to become customers than others. You can also direct people from your ads to your Page or website. How your ad campaign is run largely depends on your objective, so strategize before you create your campaign.

3. Story Ads

While regular Facebook Ad campaigns appear on your audience’s news feed, Story Ads appear on Facebook and Messenger Stories. People regularly swipe through stories on Facebook, and this can benefit your brand immensely.

Numerous brands have claimed that by creating Story Ads, they were able to attract a larger audience than usual. So why not you? Make your ad as visually attractive as possible. Avoid long sentences, as people love short and catchy phrases. Creating an aesthetically-pleasing ad will also catch your audience’s attention and they will want to look you up.

4. Promote Contests on Your Page

People love small contests, and by hosting a contest, you can entice more people towards your Page. By offering a “winner’s prize” you can easily attract multiple people to participate and they will, in turn, share the news of the contest with their friends and family.

While being a part of a contest is fun for your audience, it will also lead to an upward spike in the audience engagement that your Page gets. So it’s clearly a win-win situation! As long the post about your contest, the contest itself, and the final prize are enticing enough, you can definitely benefit off of this strategy.

However, you will have to host your competition on a third-party website or app since Facebook does not have supporting features.

5. Boost Your Posts

Last, but not least, boost your posts! This feature is a bit different from creating an ad campaign, as you select the post you would like to get more engagement on and Facebook promotes it, based on your requirements.

The post may be about a new product, event, or job opportunities, where you would like to get more people to respond to it. Simply select the Boost Post option on the bottom right corner of your post, and then fill in details such as target audience, budget, schedule, etc.

Once you have filled in the required details, your post is ready to be boosted! Just sit back and watch as more and more people engage with it.

By using these 5 features on Facebook, you can increase the popularity of your brand by leaps and bounds. Keep checking up on how other brands are doing on the platform – this will give you much-needed insight into the type of strategies you can apply.

As a closing note, here’s a bonus tip: use Facebook Analytics generously! This is an amazing, inbuilt tool that provides you with statistics pertaining to your audience and the engagement your Page and posts are getting.

Analytics can help you focus on the areas that you need to work on to improve your Page, and using the data provided here, you can also create new strategies.
