Katalyst: Winds of Change
Mphasis in partnership with Katalyst prepares young women for leadership roles through pursuit of professional education. Mphasis has supported 45 young women from low-income families, pursuing professional education through various development intervention such as skill enhancement, mentor support and exposure. The aim of the partnership is to support girls during their undergraduate studies in various dimensions ranging from academic and monetary support to mentoring. The students are also exposed to various role models in the corporate world through internship at Mphasis and annual conclave of women leaders from various walks of life.
The/Nudge LifeSkills Foundation (Future Perfect)
Mphasis has entered into partnership with The/Nudge Foundation to train and place 4000 women students over 3 years improving their employability through building their proficiency in English language communication and life skills. It is designed for implementation in colleges and in centers of learning, followed by the placement of youth in jobs in the formal sector. The program imparts 480 hours of English language and 21st century life skills to students, delivered over 5 months through activities such as mock interviews, extempore and debates. By the end of the program, students are expected to be confident about speaking in English, in interviews and the workplace, thus improving their employability.
Ashoka Young Changemakers
Mphasis in partnership with Ashoka Foundation aims to identify and support promising young changemakers who are doing high impact work in local communities to foster their ideas and initiatives towards achieving the ‘Everyone A Changemaker’ world. The partnership will identify 50 Young Changemakers across India where in the campaign ‘Lead Young’ will spread awareness about the changemaker framework among 200,000 youth, parents, teachers, school leaders and other stakeholders.
The/Nudge Gurukul
Mphasis-Nudge Gurukul is a 100-day residential program in life management, designed to provide 360 degree learning and support experience for underprivileged young women and men in the age group of 18-25. It also places them in jobs in an urban setting along with a life-long support system. The program is aimed at empowering youth with employable skills for sustainable absorption into beauty, data entry and driving sector, in addition to training in financial and digital literacy. So far, in the last 3 years, the program has trained about 600 students from under-privileged background in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
