MUMBAI: When Awards come, they pour. This atleast seems to be the case with the team of Warriors at Wockhardt Foundation. Just 3 weeks on the heels of its CEO, Dr. Huzaifa  Khorakiwala, winning an Award with a similar name, Wockhardt Foundation was awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award 2013 today, at New Delhi, at the hands of  Union Minister of Coal Shri Sriprakash Jaiswal.

Wockhardt Foundation has embarked on a path-breaking ambitious social growth programme of providing free, primary healthcare to the rural and remote parts of India through its “Mobile 1000” initiative. Today “Mobile 1000” has a Pan-India presence operating in 12 states of India.

Beside “Mobile 1000”, its other Programmes like Bio-Toilet, SHUDHU water purification tablets, POSHAK malnutrition supplement, Khel Khel Mein, HIV/AIDS, have also started making significant impact.

Wockhardt Foundation is governed by the 3 B’s – BIG, BEST, and BOLD. BIG is to implement programmes which have national scale, BEST is its programmes must measure upto the highest levels of quality implementation, and BOLD is to operate its social development programmes where the need and poverty is the most.

It is a nation-wide team of more than 350 rapidly growing, strong, and sensitive Warriors who render full-time service to the Foundation that translates the motto of “where every smile counts” into reality.

 Wockhardt Foundation is a national, secular, not-for-profit organisation engaged in social service and human welfare activities. It’s 16 programs have made perceptible change in its areas of operations to the lives of the underprivileged.

It’s other programs like Mobile 1000 eye, Mobile 1000 urban, Mobile Health Vans rural, HIV/AIDS (WHARF), SHUDHU water purification tablets, Little Hearts and Dr-Health have made significant impact.

With the launch of 4 new programs, POSHAK malnutrition supplement, SwasthyaJaanch, JAL-Secure, and Bio-Toilet, Wockhardt Foundation continues to expand its social coverage in areas where the need is the most.
