NEW DELHI: Anand Madhab, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jagran Pehel, CSR wing of Jagran Prakashan Ltd (JPL) has left Jagran after a successful spell of more than 12 years. Anand is the welknown face in the realms of CSR and social development sector. Jagran Pehel is a Division of Shri Puranchandra Gupta Smarak Trust. He role was based in Kanpur.
Anand Madhab was promoted as Chief Executive Officer of Pehel in March 2014. Prior to this he was Associate Vice President, East at Dainik Jagran based out of Kolkata. He was also the National Head of Jagran Pehel from April 2008 to June 2012.
“I left Jagran for personal reasons and aims to work either for CSR or in Development Sectors after a brief span of leisure.”, Anand Madhab said.
He stated working in Jagran media in August 2003 as Regional Manager-Marketing for Bihar & Jharkhand and gradually became Head of Marketing for the entire Eastern Zone. A media marketing and communication Specialist, Madhab is a Social Marketing Expert.
Recently, Under his leadership, Jagran Pehel and RB (formerly known as Reckitt Benckiser) India, and State Governments of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, jointly came together for the ‘Changing Behaviour: Creating Sanitation Change Leaders’ project in Bihar.
During his stay in JPL, he has conceptualized and implemented many Social Awareness Campaigns on issues like health, sanitation, gender, population, ageing etc.
He experimented and created a unique platform in Jagran to work with multilateral and bilateral development agencies.
He has further designed and implemented different mass media, multimedia and CSR projects with the organizations like The World Bank, UN agencies, World Diabetes Foundation, INGOs, Corporates and Governments.
Some of the projects like on Tuberculosis and Diabetes Mellitus, Gestational Diabetes Management, Women Empowerment etc. have been recognized globally as champion programs and have also been able to influence National government policies.
