UDAIPUR (India CSR): Hindustan Zinc Limited, the world’s largest integrated zinc producer, is proudly supporting and co-organizing the Udaipur chapter of Srajan the Spark on 15th December 2025 in Zinc City, Udaipur. Srajan, is an international organization promoting heritage through instrumental music, ghazals, and classical vocals. The evening will culminate in a soulful musical performance by the renowned Percussionist Shri Anandam Shivamani who will also be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award. He will be performing alongside the Indian Idol fame Mr. Piyush Panwar and Ms. Bhavya Pandti.
This initiative, hosted in Zinc City Udaipur, is Hindustan Zinc’s latest effort to nurture arts and culture at the grassroots level, preserving and promoting India’s rich heritage. Zinc City symbolizes Udaipur’s deep connection with zinc spanning over 2500 years and aims to position the city as a leading destination for celebrating India’s vibrant culture. During the press conference present were Mr. Arun Misra, CEO & Wholetime Director – Hindustan Zinc; Mr. Prasanna Kumar Khamesra, Chief Patron; Mr. Rajesh Khamesra, Apex President; Mr. Abbas Ali, Apex Secretary; Mr. Rajesh Bandari, Secretary from Srajan the Spark along with other senior leaders from Hindustan Zinc, Ms. Maitreyee Sankhla, Head Corporate Communications; and Ms. Anupam Nidhi, Head CSR.
Adding his thoughts at the press conference, Mr. Arun Misra, said, “Rajasthan’s cultural spirit is not a relic of the past. Through platforms like Srajan, the music, stories, and artistic expressions that define us are not only preserved, but they are also reimagined, renewed, and propelled into relevance for the world ahead.”
Speaking at the event Shri Rajesh Khamesra, Apex President of Srajan the Spark, shared that Padma Shri Anandan Sivamani through his percussion skills and dedication to the art, has taken India’s musical legacy to international shores garnering recognition worldwide and it’s an honour for Srajan the Spark to adore him with the Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Established over 10 years ago, Srajan the Spark has opened 14 chapters across India and 4 internationally, promoting Indian music globally. The organization continues to provide a platform for both renowned and emerging local artists. The organization’s chief patron is retired IPS officer Prasanna Kumar Khamesra and the list of patron includes names like of Renowned artists.
Shri Rajendra Sharma, President of Srajan – The Spark, shared that the event, sponsored by Hindustan Zinc, will celebrate distinguished social workers and business leaders who have carried the spirit of Rajasthani culture across the world. He also mentioned that acclaimed poet and lyricist Alok Shrivastava will be honoured with the prestigious Amir Khusro Award. Adding to this, Apex Secretary Shri Abbas Ali Bandukwala announced this year’s line-up of Arts Promoter Awards, which includes the Srajan VD Paluskar Award for Business Iconic Award to CA Rakesh Mehta, Chairman, Mehta Group; the Srajan Onkar Nath Thakur Award to CA Anil Khandelwal, Founder & Principal Coordinator, Shaping Future; the Srajan Nandalal Bose Award to renowned journalist and Music Maven Soumya Vajpayee; the Srajan Master Madan Award to noted TV and film actor Manohar Teli; and the Srajan Khemchand Prakash Award to Roshan Bharti, Torchbearer of the Senia Gharana.
