MUMBAI: Wockhardt Foundation, a not-for-profit organization which engages in social service and human welfare activities, has been awarded with the Excellence in Mother and Child care award at the Global CSR Excellence and Leadership awards organized by World CSR Congress.
Efforts of Sir Dr. Huz and his warriors has been recognized for their relentless pursuit to make India better & healthier through various flagship CSR programs like rural health program, sanitation etc.
Global CSR Excellence and Leadership awards recognize CSR initiatives undertaken by organizations for the benefit of the workplace, marketplace, the environment and the community.
Majority of the population in the remote areas do not have proper access to various facilities like education, healthcare and sanitation, despite the existence of various government initiatives and developments. A step to conquer a part of the problem is taken by Wockhardt Foundation, through its various initiatives like Mobile 1000 healthcare vans, Pronto Toilet, Pronto Bio-Toilet, E-Learning, Khel Khel Mein etc.
