MUMBAI: Wockhardt Foundation, a not-for-profit organization engaged in social service and human welfare activities, is promoting the young population for the good work in their respective fields by honoring them with ‘Youth Popular Awards’.
India of the twenty first century is a nation with a predominantly young population. Variously termed as Gen-X-Y or millennial. The youth is dynamic, progressive, tech-savvy and icon-loving. In keeping with this trend, Wockhardt Foundation has taken a step to promote the growth of these youths by honoring them for their achievements and contributions to nation building by instituting Popular Youth Awards on International Youth Day, 12th Aug 2016.
Youth Popular awards has various categories like popular authors, doctors, entrepreneurs, social workers, actors, directors, dancers, sports person, fashion designers etc.
Dr. Huz (Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala), CEO, Trustee, Wockhardt Foundation said, “Praising and promoting good work always have a positive effect. Our young population is the bright future of tomorrow. Through Youth Popular awards we are enhancing their motivation to do their best.”
Popular awards are the awards that the awardees are identified and voted for, not by a jury constituted by a few select persons, but by people at the community at large, through the medium of the internet.
