CHENNAI (India CSR): Verizon India in partnership with the International Foundation for Crime Prevention & Victim Care (PCVC), inaugurated THRIVE – Trauma Healing Initiative for Survivors of Violence to provide trauma-informed mental health and wellbeing services.
THRIVE has been established to serve survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence (DV/IPV) and their children- providing access to comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs. At THRIVE, survivors can access therapeutic interventions, recreational activities and economic empowerment programs. The THRIVE centre addresses recovery from PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other long-term impacts of trauma, ensuring that survivors are supported to reclaim their power, identity, and future.
As a long-term initiative designed to support survivors of gender-based violence as they take steps toward rebuilding their lives, at their own pace and on their own terms, THRIVE aims to reach 300 survivors of domestic violence in its first year, ensuring that each has access to sustained, holistic support.
The initiative stands as a testimony to Verizon India and PCVC’s joint commitment to breaking cycles of violence, isolation, and stigma by creating accessible, trauma-informed, and inclusive spaces for healing by blending therapy, recreation, community building and economic independence.
