MUMBAI: In what seems to be the Assam’s worst deluge in three decades the flood in Assam have devastated Lakhs of lives. Over 150 people have lost their lives. Apart from affecting lakhs of people, thousands of hectares of crop area got destroyed. At least 225 animals have died in the Kaziranga National Park in Assam since devastating floods lashed the state.
The government of Assam has started relief work, but the aftermath of floods in Assam needs support from all stakeholders to rebuild and rehabilitate the flood affected people to their normal lives. The situation calls for supporting Assam government’s relief and rebuild effort.
As a responsible corporate citizens, UPL Limited has responded by contributing Rs 25 Lakhs to the Chief Minister Relief Fund of Assam to aid the flood affected people of the State.
