The CSR initiatives spanned education, employability, women’s empowerment, and clean water access, with a focus on marginalized communities, highlighting the company’s approach to integrating social and business goals.

NEW DELHI (India CSR): Trent Limited, adhering to its CSR Policy rooted in Tata Group’s philosophy of public good, spent Rs. 4.12 crore during the financial year 2023-24 on various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These initiatives spanned education, employability, women’s entrepreneurship, and community development, with a special focus on marginalized social groups. The spending aligns with the statutory requirements under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013.

1. CSR Policy and Objectives

Trent Limited’s CSR Policy integrates the company’s core values with its responsibility to create long-term value for communities. Inspired by JRD Tata’s vision, “The community is not just another stakeholder in business, but the very purpose of its existence,” the company’s CSR initiatives aim to address key areas of concern, including:

  • Access to education and skill-building for youth and women.
  • Creating entrepreneurship opportunities, particularly for marginalized groups, including Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST).
  • Providing clean water access through sustainable drinking water supply models.

An Affirmative Action filter is applied to all CSR programs to empower SC/ST communities by improving access to education and livelihood opportunities.
