Everyone has their own style they like to experiment with. Small changes in the house can change the vibe completely. Few tweaks and you will be looking at a house that may as well have been designed and styled by a professional! Everyone wants to make their house one-of-kind and yet not compromise on the level of comfort.

Let us take a look at small things that you can change and make your look fabulous!

  1. Murals and wall paintings – Murals were seen in palaces and were made by the rich to decorate their homes. Wall paintings are back in fashion! You can think of decorating your accent wall or the kids’ room with beautiful wall paintings. The impact of wall paintings is unique and it cannot be replicated by wallpaper. Geometric patterns are in fashion and they can be done easily on the walls.
  2. Swap out your neutral-coloured furniture – The normal choices for a sofa or a chair are neutral colours. You can think of adding a little glamour to your house by going for a sage green sofa or royal blue chairs. The change in colour makes the furniture look plush and luxurious. If you are looking for reading chairs, you can go for a maroon or purple to add more drama to your furniture.
  3. Unconventional shades – Yes, you can look at colouring your wall with unconventional shades. More people are adopting warm colours in their homes. From bright pink to electric yellow, you can find a shade for every home and every mood on the Asian paint shade card. The most popular colour that is being used is grey. The hundreds of shades of grey make it interesting and you can choose from a plethora of shades.
  4. Home office corners – Home offices are not going anywhere as far as the next year is concerned. Although a lot of offices have opened up and are welcoming employees back, most people are still working from home and most children are still learning from home. The incorporation of a workspace in a corner will be a priority for most people. If you wish to make it unique, you can ditch the conventional work or study tables and for sets that will work as a place for your plat babies or folding tables, that can save space when not in use.
  5. Declutter your home – Decluttering the house does not mean getting rid of all your items in the house. You can rotate the items and store the ones not in use to create more open spaces. The need to breathe easy when cooped up in your house can make you feel suffocated in the house. More people are inclined to buy minimalistic furniture that serves the purpose and yet does not take up a lot of space. The top choices of designs are leaning towards rustic as well as minimalistic.

The charm of your house cannot be replicated by someone else because your tastes and your vision can create a masterpiece that is an extension of your personality. Trends, catalogues, magazines, websites, are just mediums that can help you actualize your vision and give your home a beautiful twist. The uniqueness of every home comes from you and your loved ones that live in the house.
