New Delhi: India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has inaugurated three National Ayush Institutes of eminence in Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and Unani.
The institutes are the All India Institute of Ayurveda in Goa, National Institute of Unani Medicine in Ghaziabad, and National Institute of Homoeopathy at Delhi. The Prime Minister was attending the valedictory ceremony of the 9th World Ayurveda Congress in Panjim, Goa.
In his speech, he emphasised the importance of evidence-based documentation of Ayurveda, and the need to promote it globally. He also praised Ayurveda for its focus on wellness, and said that it was becoming increasingly popular worldwide.
